This is a printed circuit that already has the minimum system assembled to quickly use the L298N Driver for direct current motors.

It is very easy to adapt and use thanks to its small size and intuitive design.

It has a built-in regulator that can be used to power external circuitry, however if the power voltage is higher than 12V it is recommended to use an external 5V source.

Includes protection diodes for reverse currents.

  • The pins available to the user are:

    EN A : Enables one of the H jumpers of the circuit (allows the use of IN 1 and IN 2 as well as OUT1 and OUT2)

    EN B : Enables the other of the H jumpers of the circuit (allows the use of IN 3 and IN 4 as well as OUT3 and OUT4)

    IN1 : Controls the status of power output OUT1

    IN2 : Controls the status of the power output OUT2

    IN3 : Controls the status of the power output OUT3

    IN4 : Controls the status of the power output OUT4

    GND : Circuit ground connection. 12V: Circuit power voltage connection.

    12V : Power voltage input, can be up to 35V maximum

    5V : 5V @ 500mA output (if the power voltage is more than 12V it is recommended not to use this output to power external circuits)

    Note 1 : The L298 supports up to 46V however, the included regulator supports only up to 35V so it is recommended not to supply more than this voltage.

    Note 2 : The L298 in its data sheet mentions that it supports up to 46V and up to 2A per channel, however, it also mentions that its maximum dissipation power is 25W, so this value in power must be seriously considered to avoid damage. to the circuit.
