The TL1838 is a decoder of infrared signals that are modulated at 38kHz, at this frequency are most of the commercial remote controls, such as air conditioners, televisions, audio systems etc.

 This sensor can help us to decode any infrared signal and also to take advantage of a forgotten remote control to control our robots or even to remotely control different devices.

 It is compatible with Arduino.
